Outside the Museum

The Channelside walks are very popular. You have wonderful views over to the mountain Black Combe and to Walney Island. Fishing boats are moored at the warping pier near the museum and a pleasant landscaped walk takes you from the museum to Walney Bridge (where visitors and locals alike enjoy going to the the nature reserves and beaches of Walney).

The playground and picnic tables are also a big hit with families.

Parking is free at the museum for up to three hours.
