Playground and surrounds

Our playground is always popular with children, families and schools.  Your visit can be topped off with a trip to this well-maintained facility.

We also have picnic benches for you to enjoy your lunch (it is sunny in Barrow!).

The nearby Channelside walks are very popular.  You have wonderful views over to the mountain Black Combe and to Walney Island.  Fishing boats are moored at the warping pier near the museum and a pleasant landscaped walk takes you from the museum to Walney Bridge (where visitors and locals alike enjoy going to the the nature reserves and beaches of Walney).

We hope you enjoy your visit to The Dock Museum.

We are open Wednesday to Sunday from 11-4pm.  Last admission is at 3.30pm.
