Small mounted black and white photograph of former Barrow Mayor, Bramwell Longstaffe in an oak frame (by Storey). Bram Longstaffe was Mayor of the Borough of Barrow-in-Furness twice: 1934-1935 and 1935-1936. During the First World War he was jailed as a non-cooperative conscientious objector. His political views were to the left of the Labour mainstream but he was one of the leading Labour Councillors in the 1930s.
