The Dock Museum is delighted to welcome the Three Inch Fools to Barrow in Furness for their inventive take on Shakespeare's infamous Scottish tale. The play will be performed in the Museum's atmospheric galleries, housed within a Victorian graving dock.
Three Inch Fools:
The Three Inch Fools are a
modern day re-imagination of a touring troupe of actors travelling from venue to venue with a pop-up stage, a collection of costumes, a handful of props, and a myriad of musical instruments. Bringing Shakespeare???s work to
life in imaginative ways, The Fools bring the backstage onstage, with the actors using props and costumes to jump between numerous characters. For each production co-founder Stephen Hyde composes original music that moves between folk and
new world to classical, rock, pop, opera and everywhere in between.
Over the past five
years the troupe have performed both indoors and outdoors across the UK - castles, churches, stately homes, abbeys, gardens, arts centres, village greens, royal residences, museums, National Trust properties, a seaside pier, an old fire station and a garlic farm. So far, The
Three Inch Fools have performed at over 100 venues to almost 35,000 audience members. This year The Fools are expanding their touring adventures to over 40 counties, travelling across Scotland, England and for the first time, Wales.
The Dock Museum doors will open at 6.30pm for a
7pm performance. There is limited seating, so please feel free to bring low backed chairs or floor cushions along. Although we can't accommodate picnics, refreshments will be available before the play starts and during the
15 minute interval.
If a member of your group will require
use of the lift, please contact The Dock Museum directly on 01229 876400 prior to booking tickets to enable us to abide by fire regulations and ensure the safety of visitors.
